Airmen Gold Medal Bill Signed Into Law
(Washington, DC) - The legislation
conferring the Congressional Gold Medal on the Tuskegee Airmen in
recognition of their heroism in World War II was signed into law,
Congressman Charles Rangel announced. |

501(c)3 Status!
The Claude R. Platte
D/FW Chapter of the Tuskegee Airmen Incorporated is happy to
announce that the Internal Revenue Service has granted our
organization 501(c)3 status. This is very exciting as any
donations that you make directly to this chapter are 100% tax
deductible. |

In June 1999, the Make It Fly Foundation was established by a group of aviation companies, organizations, and learning institutions with a mission to “successfully promote aviation as a valued career path and to encourage the advancement and positive development of future generations of aviation technicians.” |

KID WINS THE BLUE!
March 23rd, 2006 - Gabriel Lawton recently won 1st place for his
history project "Tuskegee Airman Took A Stand!" He
used oral histories from our own OTA's John Flanagan and Dr.
Claude Platte as well as on-line articles and the book, "A
Train Memoirs of a Tuskegee Airman." |
SOUTHWEST
EMPOWERS TUSKEGEE YOUTHS!
March 25th, 2006 - Southwest Airlines inspector R. Williams took
time to grant Generation EXcellence youth a tour of the Southwest
Airlines Maintenance facilities. |

tour of the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base in
Ft. Worth

chapter’s Generation EXcellence committee of the Claude R.
Platte visited
Wiley
College
’s NASA SEMA.
The purpose of the visit was to see firsthand an effective
aerospace program for youth.
